Specifications include, but are not limited to: St. Louis County (“County”) is soliciting bids to relocate a portion of an existing asphalt trail in Simpson Park. 3.1.1 Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment necessary to complete the scope of work within the time set forth in the Contract and any subsequently written Field Directives. 3.1.2 Contractor will examine the worksite and include all conditions of existing clearances, restrictions, or limitations that affect access to the work. Contractor’s failure to do any and all shall not become a basis for claim of additional monies or extension of time. 3.1.3 Contractor will secure all required permits and coordinate all necessary inspections. 3.1.4 Contractor will include tree removal and other miscellaneous demolition per the plans and specifications. 3.1.5 Contractor will protect the remaining existing trees not removed. Tree protection zones should be established prior to starting work and should be identified by portable snow fencing. 3.1.6 Contractor will be solely responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the work and shall take all necessary precautions for the safety of, and provide the necessary protection to prevent damage, injury or loss. 3.1.7 Contractor must submit submittals for review and approval prior to starting any work. 3.1.8 The asphaltic mix must be delivered at a temperature that will permit proper placement and compaction. It shall be spread with an approved paving/finishing machine in the quantity required to obtain the "compacted" thickness and proper cross section required.
