Specifications include, but are not limited to: Amtrak intends to accept Letters of Interest (“LOI”) to prequalify prospective offerors for addition to Amtrak’s bidders list for an upcoming Request for Proposal for Amtrak’s SAP S/4HANA Assessment initiative. The strategic intent of this initiative is to identify and partner with a contractor to assist Amtrak in finalizing its’ strategic vision for Amtrak’s S/4HANA implementation. Amtrak expects that the move to S/4HANA using SAP best practices and standards, including limiting customization, will result in more timely financial data, process efficiencies, an improved user experience, and enhanced functional capabilities as well as creating efficiencies in Amtrak IT staffing for on-going maintenance. This move includes the full suite of the S/4HANA ERP system, related SAP products, and applicable SAP partner products. The current strategic (high-level) vision of Amtrak’s future IT direction as it relates to the S/4HANA implementation and ancillary technologies will be provided to the selected contractor. This is a preliminary future-facing plan developed in partnership with SAP. We expect the deliverables of this assessment to contribute to the finalization of this plan. . Obtain professional services to assess Amtrak’s needs and to produce a set of implementation-related analyses including: Current State Assessment . Processes, interfaces, data sources, unmet or under-met business needs . Future State Requirements and Fit/Gap Analysis . Process flows, requirements, estimation of change impact . Implementation methodology (greenfield, brownfield, hybrid) . S/4HANA technology component recommendations for operations, data and analytics, including any change impact implications of transitioning from a legacy stand-alone system. . Implementation Plan and Timeline, including consideration of other in-flight projects . Schedule and sequence
