THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as a means of conducting market research or as a market survey to determine the availability of potential qualified vendors with the technical capability to provide all management, supervision, administration, and labor for NRC’s E-112 Motor Operated Valve (MOV) Training Course.
Specific activities include: providing instructor-led (in-person) classroom presentations and instructor-led demonstrations in a training facility/lab within the Continental United States. The training allows for hands-on student involvement and includes the following:
- Classroom space sufficient to accommodate 15 students.
- Training facility and lab with instruction on the operation and maintenance of MOVs with at least one example of the LimitorqueTM Motor Operated Valve Actuator.
- Instructors to teach the operation of MOVs who have in-depth knowledge in the field of reactor licensing/inspection activities, specifically in regard to the maintenance and operational history of MOVs in service at nuclear power plants.
- Personnel protective equipment (i.e., suitable eye safety wear, gloves and hearing protection) to students.
