Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Contractor shall provide for all supervision, materials, equipment, labor, and supplies required for snow plowing, sanding, and snow removal to allow access to all identified areas of the Alaska National Guard Readiness Center in Ketchikan, Alaska. 2. It is the contractor’s responsibility to coordinate with the project manager and facility occupants for gate keys and/or movement of vehicles or other problems related to snow removal from any given area. 3. Sidewalks are inclusive of their assigned areas. 4. In the event of a heavy snow accumulation during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., the contractor will be notified and expected to commence work within four (4) hours of notification. 5. The contractor will be required to provide snow plowing and sidewalk cleaning during the National Guard drill weekends. The project manager will provide the drill weekend schedule to the selected contractor. The State will not pay the contractor for overtime costs to perform this service on those drill weekends. Only the quoted and accepted price will be invoiced and paid. 6. Disposal Sites. Snow generally does not need to be moved for any great distance as there are suitable disposal areas for most of the facilities at the end of parking lots. The contractor shall ensure spoil (snow removed from areas under this contract) is pushed/hauled/stacked within the designated disposal sites to all for placements of nominal seasonal snowfall accumulation for the areas being serviced. 7. Prohibited Disposal Sites. Snow shall NOT be allowed to accumulate that would restrict vision for intersections of roadways, driveways, and parking lots. Snow shall NOT be plowed against any fence, building, equipment, telephone poles, fire hydrants, or storage containers without written authorization from the Procurement Office. 8. The contractor must comply with all applicable State and Federal labor, wage, and hourly rates, safety and associated laws, which have a bearing on the services provided. 9. Work Inspection. When required, the contractor’s project manager shall be prepared to make an inspection with the State’s representative. Inspections will normally take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Alaska time
