Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Design and develop a theme, with CTE staff input, for a magazine with the following specifications: a.8 ¼” wide x 10 ¾ ” tall (final trim size) i.build pages to trim and extend any bleed beyond the edge of trim size b.full color (CMYK, no spot colors) on all pages c.saddle-stitched d.64 pages 2.Create a design that will coordinate with and complement the www.RUReady.ND.gov website. Utilize a print type and size suitable to the design. 3.Provide high-resolution artwork, graphics and stock photos. CTE will pay no additional fees or costs for artwork, graphics or photos. a.Photos must include the following: i.Photos of students and adults in educational/occupational settings or participating in activities relative to the article content. ii.Ethnic diversity representative of the population of North Dakota, including, but not limited to: iii.Native American young adults/students from North Dakota iv.Minority groups in North Dakota 4.Receive data in various formats and convert to eye-catching charts and graphs. 5.Prepare the approved publication for printing and work with the printer in providing the files to the printer in the required format. The graphic designer/firm will be responsible for correcting any prepress or layout issues. 6.Costs assessed by the printer for reprinting proofs or correcting prepress or layout issues including but not limited to trim, spot colors, trapping, etc. will be paid by a.CTE if the error originated in materials or information supplied by CTE, or b.The graphic designer/firm if the error was on the part of the graphic designer/firm. 7.Be accessible for weekly meetings and additional meetings as necessary with the Career Resource Network staff in Bismarck to provide status updates and a review of work completed. 8.Make necessary revisions of text/artwork/design. 9.Provide InDesign Files upon completion. a.CTE shall retain ownership of all files and originals at the completion of this project. 10.Create a web-ready PDF which includes a.a table of contents b.bookmarks for each article c.hyperlinked URLs
