Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice Page 6 of 6 Page 6 of 6 Sources Sought Notice *= Required Field Sources Sought Notice Page 1 of 4 Page 1 of 5 DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA): Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 1901 the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the service of Single-nuclei purification, sequencing of RNA library using 10x Genomics platform, v4 chemistry (target 5,000 nuclei per sample), and data analysis.. The service is requested for Research Services at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be a firm fixed price contract for an estimated 6-month contract with no option terms. The NAICS Code is 541714. The sources sought is an intent to obtain information. The statement of work is included. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service to the Contracting Officer by 10:00AM (CST - WISCONSIN) 7/17/2025. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the contractor selected by the principal investigator of the research protocol. Any proposals received will be evaluated by the principal investigator as the expert and due to the highly scientific nature of the research. The contractor will have a direct impact on the result of the research therefore the principal investigator is the only qualified individual able to determine the ability of the contractor.
