This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) and REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes as part of market research. No quotes are being requested or accepted at this time with this notice. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Coatesville VA Medical Center located at 1400 Black Horse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 has a requirement for recurring deliveries of loose softening salt (solar salt crystals) as outlined in the Draft Statement of Need. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code being considered for this procurement is 325998, All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard is 650 employees. Information is being requested from industry to determine the following: Does the draft Statement of Need (attached to this notice) provide enough information to describe the requested solar softening salt, and is there sufficient information for vendors to submit an accurate quote? What additional information could be included which would provide a better understanding of the Coatesville VAMC s need and result in higher quality quotes, if any?
