Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of North Dakota Facilities Management Department routinely produces plans and specifications for a number of miscellaneous construction projects which do not exceed $200,000 in construction costs. The projects are typically produced by the Facilities Management design group staff who produce the plans, specifications, and estimates for the work to be completed either by in-house support personnel or contracted through competitive bidding. The projects can be described asroom renovations, mechanical & electrical system upgrades, parking lot repairs, etc. or a combinationthereof.Because the amount of work requested by the University for this service can exceed the capacity ofthe Facilities Management Department, the University of North Dakota will retain on a contract basis architectural design, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and structural engineering services for assistance in designing projects which do not exceed $200,000 in construction costs. The selected consultants will be required to provide design services for a wide variety of projects within their respective discipline on an hourly basis. The consultants will produce the designs as direct support to the Facilities Management Department.
