Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide the following service to 33 generators/transfer switches at North Dakota State University: Test and inspect generators in accordance with the frequencies shown. Create and keep log for all generator inspections and tests. Log to be turned over to Facilities Management in June and December. Invoices will not be paid until service report is received. A licensed mechanic will provide preventative maintenance in accordance with industry standards. A licensed electrician will perform a complete actual transfer of power from normal power to emergency power and back to normal power. OPTIONAL – Complete a full load test of generators. OPTIONAL – 5 year compliance testing on peak shaving generators. This to be done according to the EPA regulations to ensure NDSU continues to meet all RICE NESHAP requirements. All EPA required paperwork must be completed and ready to submit. Must be able to provide 24 hour service to generators/transfer switch. Contractor to be on-site within 2 hours in emergency situations. Excellent communication will be expected with NDSU. A minimum of a 5 day service notice will be required to coordinate equipment shutdowns and faculty/staff notification. Semi-Annual preventative maintenance to include: Replacement of worn and deteriorated parts As a minimum, the following parts are to be replaced as part of Preventative Maintenance (if defective or worn): All radiator and cooling hoses Fuel hoses Belts Spark plugs Defective wiring Defective ignition parts Oil filter Air filter Crankcase oil Radiator coolant Gearbox oil Lubrication as required Check and replace as required: Ignition wiring General wiring and connections Mufflers and exhaust pipes
