Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Health, Division of Life Safety & Construction (STATE) is soliciting proposals for individuals and/or entities to perform compliance reviews of construction documents for proposed construction in health care facilities in North Dakota. The contractor shall review construction documents for compliance with state construction standards as identified in the North Dakota General Standards of Construction and Equipment for Hospitals, Chapter 33-07-02.1, North Dakota General Standards of Construction and Equipment for Nursing Facilities, Chapter 33-07-04.2, the North Dakota General Standards of Construction and Equipment for Basic Care Facilities, Chapter 33-03-24.2 and identify areas of noncompliance with utilizing these standards. The goal of this project is to assist the Department in completing reviews of the construction documents in a timely manner. The STATE anticipates selecting multiple vendors to perform the compliance reviews and reserves the right to procure additional vendors if determined necessary. APPLICABLE DIRECTIVES The contractor is responsible for identifying and complying with all state and federal requirements that apply to the contract. REQUIREMENTS DELIVERABLES The contractor will be required to provide the following to achieve the objective of this project: The contractor will be required to be available to review construction documents for compliance with state construction standards and identify areas of noncompliance with these standards. Contractor is without the authority to grant compliance waivers. Compliance waivers will be at the discretion of the STATE. The contractor will be required to have the expertise to review the construction documents in their entirety, to include architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, sprinkler system, and civil engineering designs and any other associated designs as may be necessary. The contractor shall be required to provide proof of any license or certification necessary to perform such services in North Dakota and demonstrate the knowledge to complete the reviews of all components of the construction documents by providing a list of all employees to be involved in the review and their field of expertise.
