Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified Providers to provide a Truck Driver Training Simulator System and Service to be used for NDSCS’s CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Training program at NDSCS Location, Fargo, ND. The NDSCS CDL/Truck Driving program includes classroom and behind-the-wheel training. Students satisfactorily completing the course will test for their Class A Commercial driver’s license. We are also a third -party testing provider and can schedule appointments for Commercial Drivers License (CDL) testing at our location to obtain their Class A CDL license. The proposed simulator will service 65+ students with the current CDL program and additional opportunities. The 40-hour CDL training class is designed to give individuals a good understanding of the trucking industry and prepare them to obtain their Class A CDL through classroom and behind-the-wheel training. Trainings will include Fire/EMS, Snowplow, Motorcoach and School Bus, as well for added training opportunities and flexibility. We anticipate usage in the ApprenticeshipND and SkillsND areas as well. We are looking to use the simulator for students needing additional behind-the-wheel training time and/or before their training behind-the-wheel takes place for pre-screening. This will allow them time on the simulator when the trucks are being used during the training class as well. Having a simulator will allow us to reach more customers for their training needs within the above mentioned areas.
