Clear snow from sidewalks and parking lot; apply sand to sidewalks and parking lot, and remove/haul snow at the Badlands Human Service Center. Specifications • Work shall be coordinated with BLHSC’s designated personnel. • CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor, supplies, and equipment, including a front-end pay loader with blade or bucket (three-yard minimum capacity); skid steer type loader with rotary brooming capability or snow blower to clean sidewalks, if requested; shovels, and any equipment/materials necessary to move snow and snow piles; and sand the parking lot, as requested. Salt may be utilized only upon request by BLHSC. • Snow removal on all designated spaces marked on the map must be completed by 7:00 am MT, Monday through Friday, if snow fall is greater than one inch. Additional removal of snow on sidewalks/entrances and sanding of parking lot and/or sidewalks/entrances shall be completed, at the request of BLHSC. Salt may be utilized only upon request by BLHSC. • Snow may not be piled up in front of the garage doors, entrance doors, windows, or left on the sidewalks. • All paved space shown on the map shall be cleared of snow, including sidewalks, entrances, and front patio space. The red dotted line indicated on the map will not require snow removal as this space is not part of BLHSC property. The included map also identifies two locations on property where snow can be piled and collected. • In the event of a major snowstorm during normal business hours (8:00 am – 5:00 pm MT, Monday through Friday), parking lots shall be plowed to keep site accessible at all times, as directed by BLHSC’s designated personnel. • BLHSC will determine when piled snow shall be removed from the parking lot. CONTRACTOR shall have 72 hours from receiving the request to remove the piled snow from the parking lots. • CONTRACTOR shall take care to prevent damage to the parking area, sidewalks, signs, lawns, and plantings. Any damage(s) shall be reported to the designated BLHSC personnel. CONTRACTOR shall be fiscally responsible for the repair of any curbs and/or gutters, turf damage (gouges and scrapes), damaged landscape edging, and any repair of landscape rock caused by CONTRACTOR’s equipment during snow removal. This will be addressed in the spring of each year after inspections by BLHSC’s designated personnel. • The map shown below shows the BLHSC parking lot. The “X” represents roughly where the snow piles shall be located. • Prospective bidders are invited to personally view the lots at their own discretion.
