Specifications include, but are not limited to: Rental Housing Listing and Locator Service. Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated §§50-5-50 et. seq.), the Department ofCommunity Affairs (hereinafter, "the Agency") is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish anagency contract with a qualified Offeror who will provide Rental Housing Listing and Locator Service as furtherdescribed in this RFP. The current solution, www.GeorgiaHousingSearch.org, was launched in September 2005 out of the need for a serviceto link the supply of affordable rental housing to families and individuals seeking housing options. Since its inception,the system has grown to an inventory of more than 100,000 rental housing units located across the state andexperiences thousands of searches every day. Tens of thousands of special needs units are also designated on thesystem, allowing service providers to assist their clients. The website is utilized by other Georgia agencies forhousing placement opportunities, including Georgia Emergency Management Agency, Georgia Department of Labor,Georgia Department of Community Health and Georgia Department of Human Resources. Housing Authoritiesacross the state also utilize the service for their Housing Choice Voucher Program, a tenant-based assistanceprogram that assists low income individuals and families rent safe, decent, and sanitary dwelling units in the privaterental market
