Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Make recommendations regarding carriers, coverage, limits, terms, conditions, exposures, and risk services. 2) Provide medical professional insurance expertise and evaluation of market options. 3) Obtain the approval of the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and/or other appropriate State agency prior to placing insurance coverage. 4) Assist the State/SMHS in marketing and placement of renewals in the most efficient and costeffective manner. 5) Assist State/SMHS with reporting and monitoring of claims and assist in advocating for the State/SMHS on any disputed or problem claims. 6) Facilitate, in an efficient manner, the scheduling of physician and residents and collecting and providing information. 7) Provide answers to the State/SMHS, and obtain clarification from insurers regarding coverage or claims questions. 8) Attend meetings, as requested, with the SMHS and other representatives of the State and state agencies. 9) Provide the State/SMHS with a formal debriefing upon request at the completion of the contract. The scope of the debriefing will be limited to the work performed by the contractor. 10) Provide assistance in the form of written reports or claims summaries as is customarily expected from a professional Insurance Broker.
