Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contract is for one uniformed, unarmed officer, 22 hours per week, for 44 weeks per year (total of 968 hours). The hours to be worked are 5:00 PM to 10:30 P.M., Monday through Thursday. Hours may vary at the discretion of the Director of the Newnan Center. West Georgia will pay only for actual hours worked. This contract period covers from July 16, 2006 through June 30, 2007. The contract may be renewed for an additional 4 years at the same rate if both buyer and seller agree. The dates and times the officer will stand post will be determined by the Center's Director on a quarterly basis. The purpose of the position is to provide for the personal safety of the students and staff at the Newnan Center, and for the protection of University property. Duties include constant random patrol of the facility and parking lot during the class times and providing escorts when requested by students and staff. When students are arriving at and leaving the facility, the officer will be present and visible in the parking lot. The officer will be responsible for activating the security system after he/she has ensured the building is clear. A written log will be prepared daily by the officer and left for the Director of the Newnan Center on a daily basis. Log entries will include notations concerning any problems experienced on the shift as well as security/safety hazards. Expectations & Requirements: 1.
