Specifications include, but are not limited to: Effective dates: September 15 to May 15 The following cleaning items need to be done three times a day; 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 5:00 PM. Cleaning Items: Wet mop floors and vacuum/clean floor mats and entry ways. Clean and disinfect faucets, sinks, toilets, water fountains, hand dryers, door handles, pop machines and other fixtures that are subject to being touched. Empty waste receptacles. Place garbage in dumpster, inform City of Beach if garbage overflows dumpster. Fill soap dispensers and sanitizer stations. Clean mirrors. Pick up litter. The following cleaning items need to be done one time each day before 9:00 AM. Spot clean walls and doors, clean all doors used by the Public. Clean glass on inside and outside of exterior/foyer doors. Clean picnic tables and shelters Maintenance Items: To be done as needed: Repair clogged plumbing and minor plumbing repairs. NDDOT will purchase parts. Remove graffiti Snow and ice removal on all sidewalks and walkways. Snow removal from the building doors directly to the parking lot is a priority item that should be done first thin in the morning and dept clean throughout the day. The NDDOT will remove snow in the parking lot and access roads to the visitor center. Repair vandalism; report any vandalism to the NDDOT. Contact the NDDOT if necessary for assistance. Fill soap dispensers and sanitizer stations. Replace burned out light bulbs, NDDOT will replace parking lot lights. Inspect outdoor lighting, report any lights not operating to the NDDOT. Inspect flags, replace them when they become faded or frayed. Flags provided by NDDOT. Inspect and refill the pamphlet rack in the lobby. The maps, pamphlets and brochures will be supplied by the NDDOT Dickinson District Office. The following items need to be done weekly: Mow grass, if at least three inches tall. The area to be mowed is the entire visitor center including the ditch east of the visitor center. Exception is the pollinator planting east of the Visitor Center. Mow perimeter as normal, but only mow the pollinators after a hard freeze. Mow at highest setting the mower allows. Clean garbage containers Clean windows and sills, inside and outside if above freezing. Clean storage and mechanical rooms Weed landscaping as needed including pollinator plantings. Notify NDDOT if noxious weeds are found. Prune landscaping to maintain trees and shrubs
