The work to be performed by the Consultant includes survey, quantity calculation, cost estimates, permitting, and final construction plans and specifications for bidding. A typical cross section has not been determined for either project. Public involvement meetings in Keene and Grassy Butte are to take place early in the design phase and up to three typical cross section alternatives are to be presented. There is potential for multiple public involvement meetings to be needed for both projects. Hydraulic analysis is to be completed per Chapter V of the NDDOT Design Manual and the County’s design standards. The pavement sections are to be determined by a geotechnical study. Selected Consultant is to prepare utility location and conflict plans and assist with utility coordination. Consultant is to work with the County’s Right of Way Agent throughout the projects. Coordination with Right of Way Agent may include but is not limited to survey right of entry, preliminary plats, preliminary plats with aerial imagery, exhibits to aid with acquisition, staking of right of way and/or grading limits, and final plats. Design activities include preparation of final construction plans, specifications, and estimates, right of way platting, and mitigation plans. The Consultant is to assist with bidding each project including preparing bid tabulations and award recommendations.
