Project Overview The purpose of this procurement is to acquire four (4) custom-built mobile simulation units designed to support SIM-ND’s rural healthcare simulation training. These units are expected to deliver highquality simulation experiences by providing functional training spaces, reliable technology integration, and adaptability for diverse healthcare scenarios in rural settings. These vehicles will be constructed to meet the operational and functional needs of mobile healthcare education and simulation delivery, with a focus on durability, functionality, and extreme climate readiness. The simulation vans will be located in Grand Forks, Bismarck, Minot, and Fargo. II. Chassis and Vehicle Specifications • Chassis equivalent to a high-roof, extended-length cargo van capable of four-wheel drive operation, with a minimum payload capacity to support simulation equipment and four adult passengers while the vehicle is in motion. • The vehicle must transport at least four adults, with forward-facing seats and seatbelts during transport but can rotate as needed when parked. • The maximum floor load height allowed is 34inches. • Upgraded suspension, four-wheel drive capability, and tires for enhanced traction and load-bearing capacity. • Two-step entry system with a secure handrail for safe ingress and egress. • Customized external graphics; III. Power and Off-Grid Capabilities • Electrical system capable of fully off-grid operation. • Lithium-based battery storage with sufficient capacity for 24-hour autonomous operation under full equipment load. • Integrated inverter system to power all onboard equipment. • Dual alternator charging system and roof-mounted solar panels to sustain battery charge. • Minimum power outlets o Control room - 2 quad 20-amp outlets, 1 duplex 20-amp outlet with USB o Cargo area (Simulation Space) - 2 quad 20-amp outlets, 1 duplex 20-amp outlet o Exterior – 2 - duplex 20-amp outlets
