The replacement handgun will be from a reputable manufacturer with no currently known safety issues. The Bismarck Police Department is seeking 150 replacement units. The replacement sidearm will be a striker fired, polymer framed handgun chambered in 9mm parabellum. The handgun will have a 4.5-inch barrel length, a flat face trigger shoe with trigger tab safety, and will be shipped from the manufacturer with a precision fit, removable flared magwell. The handgun will have a slide width between 1.3 and 1.4 inches and will have between a 2.6- and 2.8-inch trigger reach. Furthermore, the firearm will have a length between 7.5 and 8.5 inches. Additionally, the handgun will come directly from the manufacturer with three (3), twenty (20) round capacity magazines.
