The NDUS is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive background check service. These services will support the institutions in conducting background checks on employees, student workers, and volunteers, as requested, in accordance with institutional policies and applicable laws. The selected vendor will be expected to deliver accurate, timely, and secure background screening services that meet the diverse needs of our campuses. We are looking for screening packages that include the following: Social Security Number Trace: Must identify unlimited aliases (AKAs) and unlimited past addresses for a minimum of 7 years. County Criminal Record Search: Conduct searches in all counties of residence identified from the SSN trace over the past 7 years. No limitation on the number of counties searched. Federal Criminal Records Search: Include searches of federal district court records in all applicable jurisdictions. National Criminal Database Search: Cross-reference all names and aliases in national criminal databases. Sex Offender Registry Search: Nationwide check of sex offender databases.
