Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Pembina County Historical Society is seeking bids on a 60' X 152' building, including materials and erection, to be constructed in 2022. The site is approximately 5-1/2 miles West of Cavalier, ND on the Pembina County Museum grounds. The site for this building will be leveled and to grade. (Gravel will be added at a later date). The site is very well drained sand/gravel base with no rocks. The area can be worked essentially immediately after wet weather. This building must be certified to meet or exceed the known wind and snow loads for this area. SIZE: 60' X 152' X 14 FOOT SIDEWALL. CONSTRUCTION: Post frame with laminated posts 4' on center maximum; laminated posts shall be 3 - 2 X 6 (All sub grade posts shall be pressure treated); posts shall be backfilled with larger type rocks. RAFTERS /ROOF: Truss type, 4 feet on center, clear span; Anti drip material under roof panels; Continuous ridge vents. ROOF PITCH: 4/12. EXTERIOR: Walls and roof - painted metal to match existing buildings; 30 year paint guarantee/minimum 29 gauge steel; all fasteners shall be screws with gaskets. ROOF OVERHANG: 2 foot overhang on both sides - ventilated soffits; 1 foot overhang on both ends, ventilated soffits. NATURAL LIGHT: 2 foot high x panel width - every 3rd panel-both sides*; prefer "opaque" sidelights, not polycarbonate. DOORS (no glass): 2 each 3'0" walk doors - front/rear - drilled for dead bolt (Doors shall be metal clad); (East) 1 each insulated 12' high/24' wide - front - placed on center line minimum 1-1/2" insulatation/commercial hdwe; (West) 1 each insulated 12' high/16' wide - rear - placed on center line minimum 1-1/2" insulation/commercial hdwe; (electric openers on each door); A footing / poured threshold (re-bar reinforced) shall be installed under each overhead door.
