Specifications include, but are not limited to: The UNC Charlotte Office of OneIT (referred to as “OneIT” throughout this document) is inviting proposals for contract labor relating to various aspects of telecommunications installations. OneIT currently provides a high speed Ethernet network, with a fiber optic multi-gig Ethernet backbone. OneIT utilizes both multi-mode and single-mode fiber trunking between and inside facilities. Charlotte OneIT installs and maintains an extensive copper and fiber optic underground infrastructure network. This network is distributed through telecommunications manholes and duct bank systems. The campus owns all of the outside plant fiber and copper, as well as all manholes and other various underground telecommunications infrastructure contained within the campus boundaries.
