The intent of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is for Union County to partner with a qualified firm or individual to provide state lobbying services on behalf of the County to the legislative branch of the North Carolina State Government. The Provider will actively and continuously work with the NC House and Senate to assist the County in several key areas, including, but not limited to, the following: • Economic development. • Public safety • Public Transportation Infrastructure; • Water and sewer. • Workforce development; and • Other County Board priorities. The Provider shall also: • Act as the representative of the County to the state government on behalf of the County. • Confer with the County Manager and County staff on planning and program activity that has a bearing on the County to make the best use of state programs. • Maintain a liaison with the County’s State delegation and assist the delegation in any matter which the County determines to be in its best interest...
