We are seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide Ferric sludge removal services. The initial service will involve the removal of approximately 700,000 to 1,000,000 gallons of Ferric sludge, or up to a budget of $150,000, for hauling and liquid land application. The primary goal of this project is to create additional disposal capacity for waste generated by our water treatment plant processes. Additionally, this service will enhance lagoon capacity for water use by the adjacent wastewater treatment plant and support compliance with pH levels as mandated by our NPDES permit. • Sludge Removal: o Remove between 700,000 to 1,000,000 gallons of Ferric sludge from our lagoon system. o The sludge must be dewatered prior to hauling, ensuring that a higher proportion of sludge is removed compared to water, optimizing efficiency. • Dewatering Process: o Propose and implement a dewatering solution that will maximize sludge removal while minimizing the transportation of excess water. • Disposal: o Haul and apply the dewatered sludge to appropriate land application sites in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
