Dare County intends to select a qualified construction manager at risk (CM@R) to provide construction, site development and other related and associated special construction needs. Dare County will utilize the Construction Manager at Risk delivery method with a negotiated Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) not to exceed cost for the project. Firms must be capable of advising on all aspects of the development as it relates to the design and construction of the Public Works Complex located in both Manteo and Buxton, EMS Station #5 located in Nags Head, and the Sheriff’s department evidence storage facility located in Manteo. Firms must be able to respond to the issues from the Owner and design team as it affects the project and advise where required. In addition, firms must be able to demonstrate successful experience with the full range of issues involved in the design and construction of similar facilities and comply with all applicable North Carolina General Statutes. Dare County will be the sole partnering entity on this project. The interested firms should submit Statements of Qualification to the following mailing address, in accordance to the instructions and guidance provided for herein, by January 17th, 2025 at 3PM. Each submission packet should include 1 original and 5 copies plus a flash drive with a PDF version. No electronic submissions will be accepted. Dare County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in accordance to North Carolina General Statutes.
