Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 General Ten (10) short educational videos will be produced that reinforce concepts learned in Steps to Health programs. These short vignettes will be used in social media posts and be featured on the consumer website. Though not considered direct-education, these videos can be used to encourage participation in community programs and can be shared with leaders to establish program partnerships. The videos will be shared in school settings to provide educational resources to teachers and staff to help support the objectives of direct education. 3.2 Deliverables: Ten (10) 2-3 minute educational videos optimized for social media platforms. Footage from one or more cameras, trimmed/edited with simple transitions, basic audio/visual enhancements and branding added PLUS integrating select visual/audio elements (music/graphics/text/icons) throughout the video for a better engaging experience. 3.3 Filming Videos will be shot at various locations including but not limited to grocery stores, farmers markets, schools, community settings, and kitchens. Production costs include but are not limited to: videographer, talent, editing, studio time, graphic design, web posting, and sound engineering. Our goal is to provide additional support for those who might be aware of the program through their children (handouts that come home from school) or those who are unable to attend direct education programs due to work. These are not a replacement for classes. Videos will be produced in English only. 3.4 Scripting and Story Boards The Steps to Health team will provide initial storyboards and recommended scripts for the videos. With approval from the university Project Coordinator, the producer may choose to vary the content to fit into time parameters, but shall consistently adhere to key messages in each video with approval from Steps to Health. 3.5 Talent Steps to Health has a recommended talent, the awarded Contractor will direct the talent for the audio and video portions of the ads and ensure that the talent is under management during any recording sessions by the awarded Contractor. If additional talent is hired, Steps to Health reserves the right to refuse any talent hired and the awarded Contractor shall replace any refused talent without causing a delay in the production schedule. The proposal response shall address sources that the proposing Contractor will use for identifying and selecting additional talent for these projects. 3.6 Editing and Production The awarded Contractor will provide all editing and production services. The proposal response shall address all equipment proposed for use throughout the project (cameras, lighting, other recording equipment as well as the studio equipment, software and final copies). For the purpose of Steps to Health representatives’ ability to meet with production staff at the studio during this phase, the studio shall be located within a two-hour drive of the NC State campus in Raleigh, NC. The proposal response shall provide detailed information regarding the Contractor’s access to the recording and production studio. Outline available equipment, ownership, and any time restrictions on availability of the facility to the awarded Contractor. Is it owned or rented? Preference may be given, through higher scores in this area, to Contractors who own and control their own full-service studio for the recording and production work.
