Specifications include, but are not limited to: Uniformed Unarmed Security Officer Services to act as official NC Department of Prisons Custodial Agents, in accordance with Policy and Procedure, Chapter F; Section .1400, utilizing minimum custody incarcerated felons fulfilling work assignment under the authorization of NC Department of Public Safety - Central Engineering. Custodial Agent responsibilities include; transporting inmate labor from the designated housing NC Correctional Facility to the Central Engineering construction site, providing continuous on-site security presence and construction site roving patrol, conducting two daily inmate labor counts to ensure all personnel is accounted for, conducting random unscheduled contraband searches of the inmate labor break areas and construction site perimeter, providing incident management assistance for inmate labor injuries or security threats, and transporting the inmate labor from the Central Engineering construction site back to the designated housing NC Correctional Facility.
