Specifications include, but are not limited to:The contracted private security company will provide adequately trained security guards to perform the security tasks and responsibilities for UNC Charlotte, Center City Building management, specifically: •Fulfill service hours per the coverage schedule provided •Deter crime, and observe and report all incidents to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and the UNC Charlotte Police Department •Monitor CCTV, Fire/Life/Safety alarms and provide response as required •Provide Security/Fire/Life Safety patrol tours of building and parking areas as agreed •Report janitorial, trash, broken landscape sprinklers, vandalism, abandoned vehicles, graffiti, etc., issues for remediation •Support and enforce UNC Charlotte, Center City Building identification and Lenel access control of pedestrian, vehicular and ingress/egress systems as required • Escort building contractors, i.e.: telephone, gas, cable, etc. as agreed upon • Report hazardous and/or unsafe conditions, inadequate lighting, improper security conditions for property, or other conditions detrimental to safe, efficient and secure operation of the facilities • Perform emergency and disaster evacuation duties as outlined in the Emergency Evacuation and Disaster Plans for UNC Charlotte, Center City Building facilities • Secure/Unsecure building gates, doors and other access points as directed • Police authority and jurisdiction guidelines will be strictly adhered to. The security guard will understand his/her power of arrest is no greater than that of a private citizen. Security guards shall make no arrest or detention on behalf of UNC Charlotte, Center City Building without the express consent or written instruction from a designated UNC Charlotte, Center City Building representative or delegate. Security guard personnel shall not sign a complaint on behalf of UNC Charlotte, Center City Building
