Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide armed uniformed security coverage, a minimum of one security officer to be provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, for the Department of Public Safety (DPS) building and site at 2211 Schieffelin Road, Apex, NC. Previous and current contractors have assigned one guard per eight (8) hour shift. However, the Department requirement shall be that armed uniformed security coverage be provided 24 hours per day. The technical approach to accommodate this requirement is left open to individual bidders. The vendor shall provide security surveillance for inside and directly outside the above building. The security officer shall take all steps necessary to safeguard all property (real and personal) from loss, damage, destruction, or unauthorized entry.
