Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Collect, transport and dispose of required services for one (1) site (Steppes Gap) at Mount Mitchell State Park located at 2388 NC-128, Burnsville, NC 28714. b. Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard animal (bear) proof dumpster with a plastic lid that opens on top and sliding doors on the side for waste only. The dates of service are: i. May 1 – November 30 –one (1) pick-up per week; and ii. December – April – on a call as needed basis. c. Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard animal (bear) proof dumpster for co-mingled streamline recycling. The dates of service are: i. May 1 – November 30 –one (1) pick-up per week; and ii. December – April – one pick-up per month. d. Provide, deliver, off-load and service the dumpster and recycling bins. The Contract Administrator will determine the location of the dumpster. This location cannot be changed by the Vendor without prior approval from the Contract Administrator. e. Provide dumpster that is dark green, dark brown or grey. These are the only acceptable colors. Dumpster must have and be kept in a well-maintained appearance. f. Provide a container that is rodent-proof, animal-proof, wind-proof, leak-proof and rust-proof. g. Repair and maintain container in good working order and appearance. Good working order and appearance includes container that does not leak and/or rust. h. Provide a replacement container at no additional cost to the Department if the Contract Administrator determines container is unsightly, damaged or unusable. Vendor must repair or replace damaged dumpster within 48 hours of notification by the Contract Administrator. i. Properly remove solid waste and dispose in a State approved sanitary landfill. The removal must occur during regular business hours, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The State Park is closed on Christmas Day. j. Communicate with the Park Superintendent upon arrival before beginning work under this Contract. k. Contact the Contract Administrator to schedule pick-up. Vendor shall notify the Contract Administrator by phone with a vital reason if the Vendor will be tardy or miss a pick-up
