Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) is undertaking a planning initiative to comprehensively update residential school boundaries across the district. While school boundaries have been adjusted periodically when new schools were added, a districtwide review and realignment has not been conducted in over 30 years. This planning effort aims to increase transportation efficiencies and promote greater socioeconomic diversity across all schools. As part of this process, WS/FCS is seeking a transportation consultant to analyze the feasibility, cost, and operational efficiency of implementing the newly proposed boundary maps. The consultant’s insight will help inform district leadership, stakeholders, and the Board of Education as final proposals are developed and shared during Summer 2025.
