The purpose of this Request for Quote is to obtain pricing for the NCDA&CS, NC Metrology Laboratory, to procure a temperature controlled bath that will be used for routine calibrations of resistance-based thermometers, digital thermometers, and liquid-inglass thermometers by the Metrologists in the North Carolina Metrology Laboratory. This laboratory provides calibration services to state laboratories and businesses across the United States. This unit will replace one of two units that are no longer operational and too old to service. Without this unit the laboratory (who is the second largest provider of thermometry calibrations of this type) will have to stop all services which will negatively impact the customers who depend on this service and our reputation.
