Lyfe Three, Inc. seeks a contractor to provide and install recreation equipment and associated materials as detailed below at The Village located at 1046 Broad St. New Bern, NC. Recreation equipment to be classified in the category of fitness and wellness with a focus on youth health for age ranges 5-12 to 13+. Equipment shall be independent stations ranging in number between 7 to 12 stations. Equipment to be similar to BCI Burke Activate Fit2677, 2679 or 3059, or Playworld equipment or Landscape Structures equipment, etc. or approved equal. • Equipment cost not to exceed $35,000 to $40,000. Equipment must include appropriate signage. • Area to be approximately 4,800 sq. ft. Approximate area dimensions will be determined during site visit. The area does not need to be squared off, as long as there is, at minimum, a safety use zone surrounding all equipment per manufactures recommendation or designated U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommendation. • Vendor will be responsible for all site work, including appropriate drainage, necessary to prepare for installation of equipment and surfacing per equipment manufacturers recommendations. Vendor must verify gradients and elevations of base must be within 2% grade prior to installation of surface material installation. Verify compaction for all equipment footings and subgrade for surface material. Start of equipment construction is acceptance of work site conditions. • Obtain field verification of the location of each item from Lyfe Three before proceeding. • All products shall bear the certificate seal of IPEMA and shall meet or exceed ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Play Areas. • All equipment and surfacing shall conform to current playground-related ASTM and CPSC technical standards including, but not limited to: ASTM F1487 (Playground Equipment) ASTM F1292 & ASTM F3313 (Impact Attenuation of Playground Surfaces) CPSC Publication 325: Public Playground Safety Handbook • Surfacing to be certified engineered wood fiber installed per equipment manufacturers’ recommendations.
