1. General Overview The project involves the repair and resurfacing of eight (8) all-weather tennis courts for the base bid, and four (4) for alternate #1. Refer to Attachment D for aerial site views. Contractors are responsible for verifying all measurements. Estimated dimensions by location are as follows: • River Birch Tennis Center (Base Bid) o Six courts: 300’ x 120’ o Two courts: 125’ x 118’(include bleacher area) • Evans Park (Alternate #1) o Front courts: 203’ x 120’ 2. Court Preparation • Clean and scrape all court surfaces to remove loose materials, dirt, debris, and foreign matter. • Remove existing nets; reinstall upon completion. • Power wash all court areas to ensure proper acrylic surface bonding. • Eliminate vegetation from cracks and court perimeters using pressure washing and a glyphosate-based broad-spectrum herbicide. 3. Surface Repairs • Patch structural cracks, surface voids, and dings using acrylic patch binder. • Cracks shall be cleaned out and filled to the entire depth with as many applications as necessary. Cracks shall be sanded down to match the adjacent court surface. • Treat depressions (“birdbaths”) retaining over 1/8” of water after one hour of drainage in direct sunlight at ≥70°F. • Outline the area with chalk, sweep water, dry the surface, apply acrylic patch binder, and level with a straight edge longer than the depression area. • Allow adequate curing time before proceeding.
