Specifications include, but are not limited to: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine grounds maintenance duties as directed-such as operating zera turns, push mowers, tractors, trailers, water tanks, back pack sprayers, edgers-weed eaters, blowers. Prune and trim trees, hedges and shrubs and boundary fences as directed. Operate hedge trimmer, hand and power tools and snow removal equipment; make routine adjustments and minor repairs to equipment. Remove trash/debris from grounds and blow walkways after grounds work is complete. snow and ice removal from parking lots, sidewalks, stairs. Weed landscape beds. lnstall/plant flower-shrub/ tree beds Install mulch/rocks etc. Moving and hauling to include event set up and break down Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain regular attendance. 6am-3pm. Overtime required. Weekend work required. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Operation of hand and power tools and equipment used in grounds keeping. Basic grounds maintenance procedures including mowing, edging, raking and trimming. Understand and operate equipment and materials used in grounds keeping work. Health and safety regulations ABILITY TO: Perform general grounds maintenance duties including mowing, edging and trimming. Perform routine and semi-skilled grounds maintenance duties. Lift heavy objects. Use a variety of tools and machines utilized in the basic trade. Safely operate power equipment. Perform heavy physical lobar. Mow, edge, water, weed, fertilize, rake and cultivate lawns and athletic fields. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull medium weights Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure ta marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure ta dust, fumes and gases
