Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Rocky Mount has been stockpiling dirt and debris that is a result of street sweeping operations. The stockpile is located at 394 Arrow Rd, the city’s compost facility. The compost facility is an approximately 14.5 acre site housing composting operations and material stockpiles. The sweeper trash pile is estimated to contain around 13-15,000 cubic yards of material. The purpose of this contract is to screen the existing pile of trash and debris. The stockpile will be separated into two piles, one of clean dirt and one of trash/debris for disposal. The awarded bidder will be responsible for supplying manpower and equipment for the screening operations. Once screening operations are complete, city staff will then dispose of or move the resultant materials as needed. Bids should be based on a per cubic yard of material processed basis. City Surveyors will verify the amount of material processed by calculating the resulting piles of dirt and debris once screening operations are complete. The selected bidder will have 60 days from the notice to proceed to complete screening operations.
