General Scope. The objective of this RFB is to solicit Proposals that will enable the City to determine which Company and Proposed Solution will best meet the City’s needs for fencing installation. The scope of this contract shall be to remove and dispose existing 900 +/- feet of perimeter fence, provide the material and installation of approximately 900 +/- feet of eight feet in height of A) commercial grade black vinyl coated chain-link fencing and gates and B) commercial grade galvanized chain link fencing and gates for the perimeter of Stoner White Baseball Stadium for the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department. The contractor will be required to provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation, and supervision of staff for fencing removal and installation services. The contractor must store all fence and gate materials clear of the ground and protected so as to preclude damage from weather or other hazards in a safe manner. For quality assurance, to repair, replace, and install fencing as needed; the professional fencing Contractor must have knowledge of MUTCD Standards, NCDOT Specifications, Greensboro City General Development Standards, and Guilford County Development Ordinances. Preparation: Prior to mobilization, an onsite meeting with City personnel shall be performed to assess the fencing type, needs and repairs to be done, once the Contractor is notified for need of services. Existing Fence Removal: The contractor will be responsible for the removal and proper disposal of the existing fencing and posts. Cleanup & Damage: After the fencing is installed, all areas should be neat and clean. The Contractor will be held responsible for any damage created during the course of the fencing installation. It will be the Contractor’s responsibility to clean up, remove fencing debris, and any other by-products of the repair. If damage occurs to landscape and surrounding areas performing the fencing installation listed in the scope of work it will be the responsibility of the Contractor to clean up and repair the damaged areas. Equipment Requirements: The Contractor shall have commercial grade equipment for in the performance of the contract. The Contractor shall have sufficient commercial grade equipment to complete each fencing installation.
