1. Provide the Energy Management unit with the ability to track daily (from smart meters, where available) and analyze energy use and cost of the City energy accounts; 2. Create a database of all COG energy (electricity, natural gas) accounts with the possibility to add additional parameters (water, sewer, diesel and petroleum, etc.); 3. Run multiparametric inventory of all COG energy accounts and to monitor opening of new accounts; 4. Provide monitoring and optimization of the rates with Duke Energy Carolinas and Piedmont Natural Gas; 5. Identify cost-saving opportunities that eliminate waste and reduce carbon emissions from the municipal operations; 6. Identify unusual energy and billing anomalies and allow the Energy Management unit to take corrective action to address them quickly; 7. Identify opportunities to maximize energy efficiency and cost savings for all City energy accounts; 8. Provide input and analytical tools to review and forecast the City's utility data, measure ROI; 9. Provide setup of current and past monthly data (delivered by the City from existing Utility Manager Pro software; 10. Analyze energy consumption trends over time; 11. Create and support external dashboard for energy efficiency and sustainability metrics; and 12. Create reports and graphs visualizing energy demand and consumption, trends, carbon emission and cost savings.
