Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work will include clearing of snow from designated campus roads, parking lots and parking decks as instructed by the UNC Charlotte Grounds Superintendent. The Contractor will be required, based upon the type and severity of the snow event, and what is deemed necessary by the University, to provide the following equipment with an experienced certified operator: Motor Grader, Dump Truck, Front-end Loader, Back Hoe, and Skid Steer as required by the University Grounds Superintendent. The Contractor will not be allowed to substitute any other type of equipment without the written approval of the University Grounds Superintendent or his designee for equipment items specified herein. Failure to provide the specified equipment will be considered as a non-performance issue, and may result in contract termination. The University will contact the vendor up to 24 hours prior to an upcoming storm beginning and the Contractor should mobilize and can have their equipment on-site. The Contractor must be on-site within two (2) hours of notification to proceed by the University Grounds Superintendent or his designee. There will be no charges for mobilization if the storm does not produce snow or ice. The Contractor must provide a primary and secondary contact number. In addition, the contactor must provide an active cell phone number for the site supervisor communications during the snow event.
