PART I – LIFTING AND PACKING CONTAINERIZED SEEDLINGS The Contractor must furnish all labor and supervision required to remove from growing benches, load to transport trailers, off load to packing conveyors, extract, grade, weed, remove doubles, count as specified, pack, strap boxes, and load to pallets approximately 14,000 boxes of Containerized Seedlings. The Contractor must stack empty trays on pallets and prepare for storage. The contractor must remove trays of seedlings from the growing benches and load the trays on a transport trailer for delivery to the packing building. The Contractor must remove the seedlings from the trailer and place trays on the packing belt and following the process described pack, seal, and load completed boxes on pallets. The Contractor must label all boxes as instructed by the NCFS with labels provided by the NCFS. NCFS will provide the trailer, farm tractor, and operator to transport seedlings. The NCFS will provide labor to transport pallets to cold storage facilities. The NCFS shall provide necessary labor to maintain a quality control system to monitor the Contractor’s work including checking culled seedlings and packaged boxes of seedlings for neatness, moisture, seedling placement, double seedlings, culls, and plantable grade.
