Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Entry and access control processes, procedures, and operation including visitor and employee credentials badges, passes, and visitor logging procedures. • Contraband identification and detection methods. • Patrols and to maintain familiarity with all areas of assigned facilities. • Theft detection, prevention and material movement and control. • Operation of communication equipment reasonably expected to be employed within the duty assignment, including proficiency in the use of accepted communication terminology, acronyms and phonetics, methods for verifying operators, and signaling duress. • Active support of special situation plans and procedures to protect the personnel and the sites during disruptive events, (e.g., fire, workplace violence, civil disturbances). • Report to the proper authorities disruptive individuals. • Response to alarm annunciation and reporting of observations. • Miscellaneous post and patrol operations including, as appropriate. • Electronically documenting normal security events in logs, reports and incident reports; in some cases, on forms to be provided by the COUNTY.
