Specifications include, but are not limited to: Wake Technical Community College is seeking a Contractor to provide four Security Officers for security services for theCollege campuses. These Security Officers will work in direct conjunction with, and report to the Wake TechnicalCommunity College Police Department. They will be expected to dhere to rules and regulations set forth by thisdepartment.Each Contractor must provide company uniforms for their employees. Each employee must display an identificationbadge while on Wake Technical Community College property. Contractor should be able to supply criminal backgroundcheck and driving record to the College for each employee servicing Wake Tech account. All contracted employees mustpass random drug tests. Contractor must inform the College of the manner of drug testing used and the frequency ofsuch tests.Daily operations will include, but are not limited to:Must maintain high visibility in assigned area by patrolling on foot through the buildingsMust monitor radio traffic and maintain communication with dispatch centerMust have a good working relationship with staff, faculty, students and police departmentMust become familiar with emergency operations procedures and assist with evacuations or lockdowns in theevent of emergenciesWill unlock or lock classrooms, offices or buildings as necessaryMay work a post such a welcome desk, answering phones or questions from guests as they enter buildingsMay be asked to assist with parking issues during special eventsMust inform their office in the event of absence so their post can be covered by another officer
