Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Recruit local businesses to serve as immersion sites for high school grade students (rising 10th – 12th grade). Additionally, businesses can offer to provide onsite learning experiences such as classroom presentations and/or projects during specified hours of the program. • Provide training for Business partners to create/develop their immersion experiences; facilitated by vendor in partnership with one lead site coordinator (full-time school system staff, hired as summer fellow). • Provide for snacks as appropriate for immersions and/or onsite presentations. • Provide for student materials/supplies for the duration of the program. • Serve as point of contact for business pre, during, and post immersion experiences to assist with any ongoing and immediate needs that may arise in relation to immersion experiences. • Provide support, training, and stipend for one teacher (full-time, WCPSS instructional staff) to serve as lead coordinator. • Provide training and resources for one local high school instructional staff member to help implement curricula, including development of training days for business partners. • Help to design research immersion sheet for students to complete pre/post-immersion experiences, as well as similar follow up for business members. • Help determine best micro-credentialing courses to have students complete for the duration of the program. • Provide guidance on how to serve as coach for business partners during both training days and beyond for business partners to reach out to with questions/feedback in immersion development and execution. • Provide support and training (in conjunction with WCPSSS) to all site coordinators serving in the program, helping to implement curricula, and providing real-time feedback of site engagement and production. Site coordinators will also serve as main point of contact during student immersion days, reporting to vendor staff or other outlined staff members to help troubleshoot any concern during immersion experiences. • Provide additional support for business community to provide students with at-school “lunch and learn” or guest speaking engagements. This will include guidance on audience interest, and potential topics of presentation/discussion.
