The Elizabeth City Fire Department is seeking bids for the replacement of the roof at Fire Station One. This project will require the furnishing of all labor and materials necessary to tear off and properly dispose of the existing roof down to the steel roof deck, and the installation of a .060 white TPO roof following the manufacturers' specifications and details. Work will be required to meet the current energy code with insulation requirements to provide an R30 value. Work will include necessary changes around the perimeter to accommodate the new insulation and material, including but not limited to nailers, fascia, gutter and downspout systems. Installation of all necessary flashing will be required. Daily checks for items that can puncture tires will be required daily during roof replacement period, as well as clean-up of the job site after completion of the work Must provide 20-year minimum warranty for materials and one-year minimum warranty for labor. Both warranties must be provided in writing. Proof of liability insurance and workers' comp must be provided upon announcement of bid award.
