Specifications include, but are not limited to:Estimated 1500 tons TERM CONTRACT TO ESTABLISH A VENDOR TO PROVIDE ESTIMATED ANNUAL QUANTITY FOR BULK SODIUM CHLORIDE (De-Icing Salt) to be used by the City of Asheville Department of Public Works, Street Division, for snow and ice control. Quantity shown represents the City's best estimate of need to meet demand for 2015/16 winter season (See No. 9 of Special Terms and Conditions). The City seeks a contract with firm pricing from date of award through April 30, 2016 .* Award of the contract will be contingent upon prices submitted with consideration of City participating in the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation Roadway Salt Contract. Bulk Sodium Chloride; product must meet NC Dept. of Transportation Specifications on Page 2 (Item Nos. 1-6). Estimated amounts also include minimal quantity supplies to surrounding towns and the City’s Brine Tank.
