The contractor shall: • Remove the existing Sweepster broom attachment system and all associated components from both trucks. • Furnish and install a new front-mounted MB 4600 Pivot Lift Airport Broom system (or RDUAA-approved equivalent) on each truck, including: o New auxiliary engine (Cummins or RDUAA-approved equivalent). o Dual rear-mounted air blowers. o All necessary components, including boom attachment system, hydraulic hoses, electrical harnesses, operator control panel, and auxiliary engine system. • Ensure all components are new, high-quality, and meet the technical specifications outlined below. • Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to complete the retrofit. Technical Specifications • The new broom attachment system shall meet the following requirements: • Engine: 375 HP electronic turbocharged diesel, Tier 4 Final (T4F) EPA emission certified, with either start (Cummins or RDUAA-approved equivalent). • Broom Application: Multi-purpose for snow and rubber removal. • Broom Specifications: o 46” diameter, 16-foot length, all poly wafers. o 477 RPM with 2,656 ft-lbs of torque at 5,075 psi. o Single pivot swing with broom angle of 35 or 45 degrees.
