1. Surface Removal and Preparation • Remove and dispose of existing asphalt and fencing (if included in quote). • Carefully remove and store basketball goals and posts for reinstallation. • Clean surface of all loose debris, materials, and foreign substances. • Recompact existing stone base to support new asphalt (minimum 95% standard Proctor density). 2. Asphalt Installation • Install up to 3 inches of 9.5mm surface asphalt in uniform, fully compacted lifts. • Asphalt must meet NCDOT specifications or equivalent for recreational surfaces. 3. Resurfacing System • Apply a minimum of two (2) coats of 100% acrylic resurfacing material. • Coatings must be UV-resistant and color-pigmented (color to be selected by the University). • All materials must comply with USTA and ASTM F2772 standards. 4. Court Striping • Stripe courts using 2-inch-wide white acrylic line paint. • Striping must conform to NCAA or NFHS basketball standards. 5. Fencing (Include in Quote #1 Only) • Install new 10-foot chain-link fencing (galvanized or vinyl-coated steel). • Include top rail and tension wire. • Replace fencing only in areas where existing fencing was removed. 6. Equipment Protection and Reintegration • Ensure basketball goal poles, light poles, and drain grates remain undisturbed unless directed otherwise. • Reinstall basketball goals/posts at original locations using existing or new hardware as needed.
