Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Asheville is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors (“Contractors”) to provide professional telephone answering services for the support of the City’s Water Resources operations, activities and programs, during night, holiday, weekend hours, or on an as needed basis; categorized as “after hours”. The City may also require call handling during times of severe weather events, including, but not limited to hurricanes, tropical storms, snow and ice storms, and northeasters, for which the City will provide verbal notice as soon as possible. The Contractor will not be required to log into any of the City’s databases to respond to billing inquiries or assist with other customer issues, but may be required to handle calls during regular business hours for staff to attend meetings or events a few times a year. Specific instructions will be provided for these rare instances.
