Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendor shall replace a 3.5 Ton Heat Pump Unit with a similar Heat Pump unit at the Gift Shop at the North Carolina Zoo. The Vendor shall: P. Remove old equipment and dispose of off-site according to law and code. Use of Zoo waste containers is prohibited. Q. Install a new 3 phase, 250 volt Heavy-Duty outdoor fused disconnect. Install a new 250 volt fused disconnect for the air handler. Wire new heat strip kit; R. Vendor shall provide specification sheets on make and model of system proposed. S. Vendor shall provide a firm date of completion as stated in days from award. This shall be an evaluation factor. A. Furnish, deliver and install a 3.5 ton split system heat pump to existing duct work. The Air Handling Unit is located in the attic; B. Furnish and install new duct transitions as necessary; C. Vendor shall review the entire system and propose any modifications that must be made to insure proper, efficient and long-term unit operation; D. Install only a Trane or Carrier brand system with a 5-Year compressor warranty. E. Replace existing electrical heat coil with equivalent size to original. F. Connect outside compressor to current electrical which is 208V / 3 phase. G. Connect attic air handling unit to current electrical which is 208V / single phase / with 110v fans H. Install new refrigerant line set; I. Warrant all materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from date of acceptance by the Department. J. Contractor must furnish a copy of their H-2 HVAC license in their proposal. K. Install only UL® listed products in meeting all Codes. L. Schedule and be on site during local code inspections. M. Be responsible for all measurements and verification of electrical voltages during the Site Visit; N. Unit shall have a minimum SEER rating of 16 or an EER rating of 12.00 or better. Vendor shall provide AHRI rating of compressor and air handler combination or clearly show the seer rating in the manufacturer’s specification sheets. O. Unit shall use R410a refrigerant.
