Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. FABRIC: Burlington 539-96 Dark Blue Gabardine 55% Polyester 45% Wool. 2. LINING: First quality, colorfast, and perspiration resistant. 100% Polyester 3. BASIC DEIGN: Jacket should be Eisenhower style, waist length or approximately 21 ¾” on a size 40, shall have notch lapels and (4) 36 Ligne Gilt “P” button front. The buttons must be removable for dry cleaning. The inside of the jacket shall contain shoulder pads, sleeve heads, chest piece front and armhole tape. The entire body and sleeve shall be fully lined. 4. BODY DETAIL: Front will be plain with box pleated patch pockets, flaps, shoulder straps and badge tab. Inside facing of jacket must be the same as the outer fabric. There shall be four (4) first quality buttonholes down the front. The back will be seamed (2 piece back) bi-swing, ends of each bi-swing held in place with a strip of elastic. 5. WAISTBAND: 3” wide waistband with rounded extension to close with 34 Linge black bone button on underside and 2 vertical snaps at end. Pointed adjustable button tab each side to adjust with (2) 24 Ligne black bone buttons. 6. NAME EYELETS: Two eyelets, spaced 1 ¾” apart horizontally from center to center, over right breast flap. Eyelets through lining. 7. BUTTONS: Buttons shall be attached to the front of the jacket. There shall be (4) 36 Ligne Gilt “P” buttons with 18 Ligne black backing buttons. The shoulder straps and pocket flaps will have 24 Ligne Gilt “P” buttons. 8. THREAD: All sewing will be done with first quality thread, silk or polyester, the buttonholes being made with pure silk thread and gimp. 9. FINISHING & PRESSING: The entire jacket must be made in a first class manner - work clothes type jackets will not be acceptable. All loose threads must be removed and jacket must be completely pressed with high temperature pressing equipment and properly shaped. When completed, the jacket must be baked at the proper temperature to ensure wrinkle resistance and permanent creases at the sleeves. 10. FINISHING, PRESSING & MISCELLANEOUS: After the jacket has been completely sewn and ready for pressing, it shall be pressed on both utility presses and shaping presses. All loose thread must be removed. All proper size tags, content labels and care instructions shall be properly affixed to the garment. Jacket must be manufactured in the USA. 11. SLEEVES: The sleeves shall be standard coat style, set in and will have a 2” hem. The bottom of the sleeves shall have an inner lining. One row of ½” #13262 Rice black mohair braid, around each sleeve, approximately 3 ½” up from bottom. “Raleigh Police” emblem sewn on each sleeve, 1” down from the shoulder seam. 12. POCKETS: There shall be two outside box pleated patch pockets measuring approximately 5” wide and 6” deep and there shall be scalloped flaps. Flaps with 24 ligne gilt “P” buttons sunk through dummy buttonhole in center and snap at each corner. One inside breast pocket each side. 13. COLLAR: Notched collar shall be properly inner lined and the undercollar properly shaped with undercollar cloth. 14. SHOULDER STRAPS: Pointed shoulder straps shall be made of the same fabric as the jacket and shall be sewn into the sleeve seam and the end of the shoulder strap tacked to the jacket at the neck. 24 ligne gilt “P” buttons sunk through dummy button hole. 15. BADGE TAB: Black metal badge tab shall be centered ½” above the left flap.
